My kids have been asking for pets and I have always turned them down, thinking that I will eventually be the one who will be taking care of it.
But one day while dining with friends, I just told them that I don’t mind having a dog. I think dogs are fun in a way that they can engage the kids and are able to be brought out for play. Another reason is that when they bond with the kids, the kids actually spend more time with it rather than the electronic gadgets we have.
