Vinegar Pork Trotters


  • 200g Ginger (pounded)
  • 1 bottle Black Vinegar
  • 375ml water
  • 150g Gula Melaka
  • 1 Pork Trotter (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Rice Wine
  • 3 slices Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil


  • Wash trotters and cook in boiling water with rice wine and ginger slices for about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside
  • Pound big slices of ginger.
  • Add 2 tbsp sesame oil and fry the ginger till brown.
  • Pour in vinegar and water.
  • Put in drained trotters.
  • Turn on high heat till it boils, and on medium heat, boil it for 2 hours before it is ready.
  • You may add hard-boiled eggs to serve together.
